The work

Things I've built.

A few of the things I have made, and what each one is for. Some are live, some are still in progress — I've tried to be clear about which is which.

Rent-versus-own tool · Live Campus Equity
Live tool

A calculator for parents weighing student rent against buying near campus.

Students rarely live alone, and off-campus housing is usually a handful of families coordinating together. Campus Equity compares what that group spends on a premium student apartment against buying a home near campus instead — any college town, with the math shown behind every number and three different paths at graduation (hold it, sell it, or rent it out). I built it after noticing how much rent a few families can spend on housing that none of them ever keep.
